Stephen Jones has been employed by UPS during his twenty-three year professional career. Currently he is the Director of International Training & Development with responsibility for the development of training curriculum for the leadership development and job specific skills in over 200 countries around the globe. He began his career as a un-loader from which he was promoted into part-time operations management, and then went on to other responsibilities as a full-time driver, and management roles in Industrial Engineering, Sales, Package Operations and Human Resources.

He a earned a BS degree in Applied Physics from Weber State University, MA in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix, and a Masters Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University. He was serves on the Advisory Committee on Apprenticeship to the United States Department of Labor Secretary and is considered by the USDOL as one of the leading experts on Generational Learning in the United States. Memberships include the Corporate Executive Board’s Learning & Development Roundtable, American Society of Training Development, and the Project Management Institute where he holds the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

He has lead project teams for the past twelve years that were responsible for employee training that impacted all of the package operations positions at UPS in the United States as well as redesigning the Leadership Development program at UPS for over 38,000 UPS supervisors and managers. Some major achievements while at UPS include writing, winning and executing a grant from the US Department of Labor to study generational learning styles and develop driver training curriculum that incorporated key findings from that research to implement the award winning UPS Integrad. He managed relationships with Virginia Polytechnic Institute, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the Institute for the Future, University of Georgia, and Georgia State University. His projects have been featured in Fortune Magazine, Good Morning America, NBC News, The Today Show, Training Magazine, and on the cover of Training Development magazine. Mr. Jones also was awarded the Alexander C. Williams award for innovative training program design from the Human Factors and Ergonomics society and UPS Integrad was awarded one of the top six innovative training programs for 2008 by Training Magazine.
