As Director of Learning & Development for Powell’s Books, Robin is responsible for the team that oversees hiring and employee development for the country's largest independent bookstore company. Powell's is located in Portland, Oregon, and has over 500 employees. The team develops online learning, manages the company LMS, oversees two leadership development programs and management training, and oversees new employee onboarding, in addition to managing the company intranet content and hiring software program. She’s been with Powell’s for 24 years and has been in learning & development with the company for 21 years. She holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Florida, a MA in International Studies from the University of South Carolina, and certificates from Portland State University in eLearning for Trainers and Management of Training.
