Darlene Christopher is the Program Advisory Chair for the 2013 TechKnowledge Conference. Darlene is the Learning Officer for the Latin America region at the World Bank in Washington, D.C. She has been designing and delivering virtual training programs for global audiences for over ten years. She won a 2010 Brandon Hall Excellence in Learning Award for Best Integration of Learning and Talent Management. Darlene also has a diverse technology background holding web product management positions in Silicon Valley at Infoseek, Disney Internet Group and 3Com. Darlene holds a Master’s in International Management from the Monterey Institutional Studies and spent several years working overseas in Venezuela, Belize, Germany and Spain. She served on the board for the Metro DC Chapter of ASTD as the Director of Virtual Programs from 2010-2012 and publishes regularly on the topic of virtual classrooms, including an ASTD Infoline on Facilitating in the Global Virtual Classroom.
