Jennifer joined ASTD in 1999 to lead the Public Relations function. Jennifer continues to lead communication efforts to members and customers, the media, and public policy makers. She also leads ASTD’s awards programs and career development offerings.
In her volunteer work, Jennifer served a two-year term on the executive board of directors for the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) and was president of the IABC Washington, D.C. chapter. She holds IABC’s Accredited Business Communicator credential.
Jennifer was an adjunct professor at Towson University in Baltimore, Maryland where she taught Public Relations Writing in 2009.
David Schlaifer is the founder, president, and CEO of Doctors Administrative Solutions (DAS), a healthcare technology firm that provides physicians with technology-based solutions to improve their practices. He led a coalition of political, healthcare, and other business leaders to win a multimillion dollar EHR software grant for Tampa Bay. Schlaifer is also the founder of Dr-Connect, the Tampa Bay Health e-connection and was an early member of the Tampa Bay Regional Health Information Organization steering committee.
Linda Prescott, Professor of Office Administration and Computer Science at Hillsborough Community College, Tampa, Florida, was a representative from the Tampa Bay/Nature Coast area at a meeting and discussion of jobs and the economy in June at the White House as part of the White House Business Council’s “Business Forward Initiative.” She was invited back in November to a second forum designed to directly engage senior White House and Administration officials in a conversation on the immediate fiscal challenges as well as job creation opportunities and competitiveness issues for the years ahead.
