Liz Kofman-Burns, PhD, is co-founder of Peoplism, a DEI consulting firm that delivers measurable results for fast-growing startups and industry-defining businesses. Her work has appeared in Inc., SHRM, TechCrunch, First Round Review, Behavioral Scientist, and peer-reviewed journals.
Cynthia Burks has spent more than 20 years helping people and organizations thrive, most recently as the chief people and culture officer for biotechnology company Genentech. In addition to a board role with Torch, she sits on the board of Inspire Medical Systems and two nonprofits that help young people realize their potential. She also advises companies across a variety of industries.
Elizabeth Weingarten is the head of behavioral science insights for Torch. Previously, Elizabeth was managing editor of Behavioral Scientist magazine, worked at the behavioral science design firm ideas42, directed the global gender parity initiative at the think tank New America, and was a senior fellow in its Better Life Lab. She has also worked on the editorial staffs of Slate, the Atlantic, and Qatar Today magazine. She graduated from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
