Consider how athletes learn and grow, and it is clear that the sports world has a better grasp on learning and development than the business world. An athlete gets constant feedback—from teammates, coaches, during the game, and from game film. By the time major corrective action is needed, the athlete has received constant feedback and there are no surprises. Lumen will help your organization provide “real-time” game film to your employees in a way that engages them and speeds up the cycle.

In this “democast,” you will:

• Learn how to more effectively and efficiently accelerate the performance of your top talent using real-time, ongoing feedback that is significantly more relevant than the annual performance review.

• Discover how to leverage results out of the gate, supported by qualitative and quantitative data.

• Gain a solution to offset budget and resource constraints around performance management, succession planning, retention, and productivity.

President, Avant

For the past 30 years, Kristin Ihle has focused on accelerating human performance—both personally and professionally. Personally, she was a seven-time All-American athlete who was sponsored by Nike in her post-collegiate running career. Professionally, she earned a Ph.D. in multicultural psychology and began consulting in sports psychology with NCAA teams and individual athletes.

As president of Avant, Ihle is dedicated to talent, team, and organizational performance for Fortune 500 companies and startups. She established Avant's research and development division to create technology-enabled products with an understanding that technology, when systematically applied, would transform the traditional, one-on-one model from a time- and budget-intensive format to one that is agile, accessible, and scalable to companies of all sizes and talent at all levels. The technology is designed to engage employees, provide continuous feedback, and accelerate the learning cycle. Drawing on Ihle’s background in research and statistics, in 2017 Avant launched its first two technology products—DEAL and Lumen.
