The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) just published a proposed rule which, if implemented, will bring human capital disclosure to publicly traded U.S. companies much sooner than imagined. The International Organization for Standardization’ (ISO) standards for human capital reporting, which recommends 23 measures for public reporting by large organizations and 10 measures for small and medium organizations, are a starting point for companies to consider when deciding what will be shared.

Join Dave Vance to learn more about the SEC proposal and ISO standards. He will provide an overview of both efforts and focus on the measures for learning and leadership development that are most likely to be reported. Key topics will include:
• a brief history of both efforts
• the importance of the change proposed by the SEC and its implications
• the 60 measures recommended by the ISO, with a focus on those for public reporting
• the likely consequences on public disclosure from both efforts.

Our profession is about to undergo a major change driven by the coming transparency and sharing of information previously considered confidential. This webcast will help prepare you to start sharing the key measures (if they are good) or improve them (if they are not so good) because in the near future, employees will only want to work for (and investors will only want to invest in) organizations with good ratings on key human capital measures, including talent development.
