A proven expert in creating an award-winning culture, Jacque led the team at University Health System (UHS), San Antonio, Texas, to win seven ATD BEST Awards and ATD’s first Innovation in Talent Development Award. UHS has won more BEST Awards than any other nonprofit organization in the world. A strong advocate for workforce development throughout her career, Jacque recently submitted University Health System’s winning application for CareerSTAT’s 2017 Frontline Worker Champion Award. She served as chairperson of ATD’s Public Policy Committee, wrote four case studies for ATD’s Skills Gap Series, and co-chaired the Strategic Planning Committee for Workforce Solutions Alamo.

Jacque and her team also won four Chief Learning Officer Learning Elite Awards, including Editor’s Choice for Best Midsize Company in 2016 and five Chief Learning Officer Learning in Practice Awards.

Al Cornish

Chief Learning Officer, Norton Healthcare

Al Cornish, system vice president for learning and organization development and chief learning officer, has been with Norton Healthcare since March 2006. He is responsible for the leadership of Norton University. In addition, he is responsible for media services, career and succession planning, and diversity and inclusion initiatives. Prior to joining Norton Healthcare, he served as deputy chief administrative officer with the Prince George’s County, Maryland, government.

Al has more than 30 years of experience in administrative, training, human resource, and operations management. He has been in senior leadership roles in some of the most well-known Fortune 500 companies in America, including AMF Bowling Worldwide, Central Parking Systems, 7-Eleven Food Stores, Automatic Data Processing, and Hardee’s Food Systems.

Mary Cunningham has worked for Mercy for 26 years and currently serves as the Talent Development and Optimization Manager. She also oversees the School at Work program across the health system.
