It is increasingly necessary for employees to work on virtual teams, where all or some team members are geographically dispersed during their careers. Globalization, matrix structures, flexible work arrangements, and contingent workforces contribute to this trend. The stakes are high for such teams to be successful, but the common challenges of teamwork are magnified as a consequence of distance, with the added complexity of cultural diversity and communication barriers. Talent development leaders can play a key role in maximizing the effectiveness of these teams by enlisting senior management support, deploying a change management approach, and removing barriers to high performance.

This session presents a practical toolkit to help talent development leaders enhance the purpose, process, and people components of virtual teams, thereby promoting organizational alignment, fostering collaboration, and achieving intended business goals.

As a result of attending this webcast, you will learn how to:

  • Learn how Talent Leaders can enhance global virtual team member results through 3P process and Diversity & Inclusion tools.
  • Create an inclusive process for global virtual team success.
  • Ensure that your senior management team is providing the resources, support, and talent to enhance virtual teams.
  • Diagnose and address the most common challenges confronting global virtual teams.
