Bad news: Webinars have replaced PowerPoint as the most soporific strategy to put your participants to sleep.
Good news: A live online learning activity (LOLA) can increase—and improve—interaction in a virtual classroom situation. Over the past 12 years, we have field-tested a variety of LOLAs, including interactive lectures, participatory storytelling, jolts, structured sharing activities, and magic on the Internet.
In this walk-the-talk webcast, Thiagi will help you explore six different LOLAs to keep your participants engaged in your webinar and help them apply what they have learned. At the end of the session, you will be able to use Thiagi’s templates to rapidly design your own webcasts that immerse and impress your participants in interactive learning.

Sivasailam “Thiagi” Thiagarajan has been doing training for the past 92 years (including his last life time). He was elected president of the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI) twice, 25 years apart. He has also been the president of the North American Simulation and Gaming Association (NASAGA) five times. However, he has never been elected to any position at ASTD/ATD. As the Resident Mad Scientist of the Thiagi Group, he makes an almost decent living by playing games and helping others play games—to improve their performance.
