Craig Gagel serves as the Director of Workforce Analytics and Statistical Official for the Office of Personnel Management (OPM). In these roles, Craig leads a team that conducts analyses of human capital data and develops customer-focused analytics products all in support of federal workforce decision-making and policy determination. Craig is also responsible for championing agency data quality and confidentiality protection and supporting the implementation of OPM’s data strategy. Prior to joining OPM, Craig held various positions at the U.S. Census Bureau supporting economic and household surveys including leading an analytics team that provided insights to support data-driven decisions regarding human capital management and the cost, quality, and performance of survey data collection for nationwide field operations.
